Polish Market "Pearls of Polish Economy" Award for TELE -FONIKA Kable

On November 28, Polish Market monthly magazine awarded TELE -FONIKA Kable with " Great Pearl 2011" in the ninth edition of the 2011 ranking " Pearls of Polish Economy " . The award ceremony took place during the Gala at the Grand Theatre in Warsaw.

A measure of the significance of the honours bestowed is the fact that the Chairman of the European Parliament - Jerzy Buzek, Marshals of the Sejm and the Senate, ministers, the President of the Academy of Sciences - Michał Kleiber, representatives of President of the Republic of Poland and prominent representatives of sport, culture and business participated in the Gala.

The awards ceremony coincided with the 15th anniversary of the English-language Polish Market magazine , which, since its inception, has been promoting the achievements of the Polish economy around the world.

The organisers of the competition were faced with the problem of choosing the most efficient, most successful companies which are able to achieve the best results in their use of labour and capital resources – real “pearls of Polish economy”.

The method for choosing the “pearls of Polish economy” was developed by the Institute of Economics, Polish Academy of Sciences under the assumption that the choice was “computer” made based on a developed algorithm and data sent by companies. This means that the ranking is the only one in Poland not based upon the subjective assessments of members of the chapter. The criteria adopted for assessing the effectiveness of companies includes: percentage of revenue growth , profitability , overall debt levels , return on assets , return on invested capital , total productivity of human capital, work efficiency.

The resulting collection of “pearls of Polish economy” can be easily ordered according to the number of points acquired for individual criteria. TELE-FONIKA Kable ranked 56th among 2,000 companies evaluated. KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.
