Cable giant see major potential in UK’s rail market
30th April 2018, Myślenice, Poland - Polish cable giant, TFKable Group, and its Leicestershire-based subsidiary Copper Cable Company, will present their FLAME-X fire integrity power and emergency alarm cables at InfraRail in London from 1st – 3rd of May 2018.
TFKable Group is currently the framework supplier of low smoke zero halogen DC traction feeder cables for Transport for London. It also provides medium voltage armoured power cables for London Underground’s sub-surface line railway. In addition, the company has recently carried out projects for Network Rail, including the supply of over 50km of 45kV track feeder cables to the Great Western Electrification Programme.
Wojtek Skoczylas, Sales Director at TFKable Group, said: “Britain’s railway infrastructure is undergoing a dramatic transformation, with once-in-a-generation projects such as the HS2 high-speed line and Crossrail 2. It’s an exciting and challenging market for us and it’s fantastic to be a part of such large-scale investments which are enhancing the performance of Britain’s existing infrastructure.”
“InfraRail is a fantastic event that brings together the industry’s leading innovations. We are looking forward to sharing our solutions to meet existing and future demand.”
The international railway infrastructure exhibition will include numerous keynote speakers, technical seminars, project updates and industry briefings. TFKable and Copper Cable Company will jointly showcase their traction feeder, armoured power, overhead line and pilot cable products.
Copper Cable Company will present its innovative range of fire safety engineering technologies for high-rise public buildings and specialised underground car parks – the Flame-X 950 Series 6 cable range. One of the most important factors in any fire is to maintain the electrical power supply to safety and fire-fighting systems including smoke barriers, extraction fans and smoke and heat exhaust systems. The Flame-X 950 Series 6, being BASEC and LPCB approved, ensures the continuity of the circuit and system integrity during a fire. It also meets the highest BS8519 fire survival category of 120 minutes, suitable for the most critical ‘Category 1’ safety and fire-fighting applications.
