TFKable Group and POWERMITE at Electra Mining Africa show

Between 10th and 14th of September 2018 TFKable Group along with POWERMITE - our long term business partner -  will participate in Electra Mining Africa exhibition organized in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is the largest Southern Africa’s event dedicated to mining industry taking place since 1972. It is an excellent opportunity to find out about the latest and greatest innovations and technologies, the leading products and services, and the most cutting-edge machinery, equipment and solutions. Worth mentioning is also the advice from technical experts and the knowledge gained from free-to-attend seminars. 

TFKable Group will be presenting its innovative line of reflective cables. The main objective of this innovation was to obtain the effect of higher visibility of mining cables in underground mine galleries or during night-time works in surface mines. Increased visibility allows to limit the risk or mechanical damage to which the cables are exposed when connected to the mining machines and dragged on ground behind them. In case of low visibility cables are often subject to run-overs by heavy machinery resulting in their damage and expensive operation stoppages. Safety or workers is also affected in such case. Highly visible reflective cables made by TFKable Group help to minimize these risks.

The key to achieve success in implementing this innovative solution was to combine effectively polyurethane, characterized by very high mechanical strength parameters, with the reflective materials applied. In result we obtained a new type of sheathing for mining cables.
