Back for its 11th year, The Mining Show promises to deliver a huge agenda focused on the most pressing issues in the industry right now. TFKable Group will attend this show for the first time. We will present the mining cables for moving applications – both reeling and trailing. In case of trailing cables, similarly like during the other mining shows we attended earlier this year, we will be consequently promoting our innovative line of reflective mining cables in polyurethane outer sheaths.
The main objective of this innovation was to obtain the effect of higher visibility of mining cables in underground mine galleries or during night-time works in surface mines. Increased visibility allows to limit the risk or mechanical damage to which the cables are exposed when connected to the mining machines and dragged on ground behind them. In case of low visibility cables are often subject to run-overs by heavy machinery resulting in their damage and expensive operation stoppages. Safety or workers is also affected in such case. Highly visible reflective cables made by TFKable Group help to minimize these risks.
The key to achieve success in implementing this innovative solution was to combine effectively polyurethane, characterized by very high mechanical strength parameters, with the reflective materials applied. In result we obtained a new type of sheathing for mining cables.
