Innovative and Safe Solutions for Industry Delivered by TFKable Group

For over 25 years the TFKable Group have introduced many innovative solutions aimed at delivering strategic core values. We carry out projects that are vital for our Partner’s and Customer’s businesses, as they seek modern transmission solutions whilst maintaining the highest quality, safety and environmental standards. Some of the most recent high-profile projects are: TFPremium YDY product line, inverter (halogen-free) cables and TFEasyline MVC medium voltage mobile line.

“We deliver tried and tested, robust and technologically sophisticated solutions, which ensures the optimal matching of our cables and conductors with the complete assembly, providing for an efficient operation. In effect, the TFKable Group’s laboratories in Bydgoszcz and Kraków, working with our production engineering research teams to improve the mechanical and electrical characteristics of our products — and this results in the creation of over 2,000 new product codes, performing over 30 development projects and new product groups whilst carrying out over 500 production trials every year. Since 2016 our priority is to fully adapt the production and product marking processes of cables and conductors introduced to the market to comply with CPR legislation. Since the introduction of CPR in 2016, our fire testing laboratory in Kraków-Wielicka facility has performed approximately 1,000 flame propagation tests on samples and bundles of cables.” — indicates Ryszard Pilch, Vice-President of Sales, TFKable Group

TFPremium YDY Assembly Conductors Line That is a Functional and Ergonomic Solution for Assembly of Electric Installations

TFPremium YDY 450/750V and YDYp 450/750V

TFPremium YDY products — is a multicore cable with circular 99.99% high purity solid copper (class 1) conductors, with PVC insulation and sheathing. Designed for permanent installation in industrial and residential buildings, buried in plaster and clipped direct to a surface, in dry or damp conditions indoors, as well as in conduit, trunking and embedding in concrete. These cables are not suitable for installation in loose, cracked, or compressed concrete. YDY conductors may also be used outdoors when protected from UV.

Due to the difference in construction/installation, there are round and flat types of TFPremium YDY brand cables.

Network of expertsUnique features of TFPremium YDY constructions — thanks to the optimised PVC compound formulation, this ensures the cable is suitable to operate at a maximum conductor temperature of +70 deg. Celsius. The cable may be permanently installed in ambient temperatures of -40 deg. Celsius. The cable can withstand a one-second short circuit at a maximum temperature of 160 deg. Celsius. All products are CE marked and comply with the current European market requirements. Thanks to the cable construction compliance to the new PN-E-90068 standard, the TFPremium series cables are characterised with a higher resistance to mechanical impact thus reducing the risk of premature failure and shortened service life. The construction ensures the live insulated conductors are protected from the influence of the surrounding medium and are — to a greater extent — resistant to overvoltages between live conductors.

TFPremium YDY vs. flammability — all YDY type cables comply with the reduced flame propagation requirements in accordance with IEC 60332-1-2 standard and meet the Eca fire safety classification to the European CPR Regulation.

TFPremium YDY vs. intuitive assembly — all flat versions of YDY conductor feature characteristic three-dimensional and graphical side marking, resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage, which indicates the wire position, ensuring rapid identification of grounding wire, without the need to remove the sheathing. Three-dimensional marking allows for identification of a wire even in low light conditions. The structure of the flat YDYp wire offers easy assembly in locations of limited access or work space. This  intuitive assembly is also aided by customizing on a special modern finish rolling line and includes a specially designed thread (ripcord) that facilitates the easy tearing of the sheath, which is also present in the round YDY version, and greatly improves unreeling and termination of the conductor.

Both constructions are available in 450/750V voltage versions.

Special Elastic and Cross-Linked Mixture, XLPE Type, As an Insulation Material Providing for Improved Halogen-Free Cables Flexibility for Connections Between Engines and Frequency Converters (Inverters)

2XSLCHK-J, Dca-s2,d0,a1 Inverter Cables

New quality in industrial automation through employment of:

  • Halogen-free materials, including halogen-free sheathing made of special LSOH mixture, ensuring in the event of a fire the flame is not propagated, also large volumes of corrosive and caustic fumes are not produced — as this is usually the direct threat to life and evacuation in such events.
  • External sheathing offers high resistance to UV radiation.
  • Flexible conductors of 99.99% high purity copper, characterised by excellent electrical qualities and enhanced resistance to mechanical impact — at the same time, maintain the high coefficient of structural flexibility, thus ensuring ease of assembly and termination.
  • The specially designed double screen, consisting of a layer of aluminium-polyester film, suppressing all signals above 300 MHz and the tinned copper wire braid with enhanced 85% minimum coverage, suppresses the propagation of interference of lower frequencies. Due to the inclusion of the EMC screen, the cable does not interfere with the operation of other devices, and at the same time, is resistant to interference emitted by devices or systems in the vicinity to which it is installed. High electromagnetic compatibility is provided for cables operating in servo drives.
