Medium voltage cables with XLPE insulation are used widely in the energy field to transfer electricity at the stage of production, on wind farms or solar farms or small hydroelectric power plants, and at the stage of distribution of energy and energy supply of residential buildings, industrial objects and installations or larger objects of general interest.
These cables, depending on their structure, can be placed directly in the ground, cable ducts or installed on supports, and using special seals, coatings or armour, they can be used in very demanding environmental conditions.
Medium voltage cables with insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene XLPE, for a voltage from 10 to 35 kV, are produced mainly in the Plants in Bydgoszcz and in Zajecarze.
Due to its modern technological lines and laboratories, the Plant in Bydgoszcz is one of the largest production centres of medium and high voltages cables in Europe.
Over the last 20 years of production, the Plants of TELE-FONIKA Kable have provided on markets in many countries around the world over 250 000 km medium voltage cables with XLPE insulation, with aluminium or copper cores, with single-core, triple-core or triplex structures, cross sections of 35 mm2 - 1000 mm2 and based on different standards applied on the European and world markets.
